Tātai Angitu is the professional learning arm of Massey University’s Institute of Education. We provide research-informed professional learning and development for early learning services, primary and secondary schools, and education organisations across New Zealand and beyond. Our work is about partnering with educators and leaders to grow capability, strengthen practice, and create lasting impact for learners and communities.

About Us

The team at Tātai Anigtu is here to walk alongside schools, kura, early childhood services, and community organisations to grow knowledge, strengthen practice, and create lasting change in education.

We believe professional learning should be practical, inspiring, and connected to everyday teaching and leadership. That’s why we design programmes that are tailored to your context, drawing on the latest research as well as the experience and strengths within your team.

What we offer:

  • Tailored learning journeys that meet the unique needs of each organisation.

  • Leadership support to help leaders grow capability and embed sustainable change.

  • Curriculum and pedagogy expertise to strengthen teaching practice and lift outcomes for learners.

  • Collaborative partnerships that ensure change is meaningful, inclusive, and lasting.

Our facilitators bring warmth, expertise, and a genuine commitment to making a difference. Whether through workshops, mentoring, online learning, or bespoke projects, we work with you to build confidence, capability, and innovative practice that has a positive impact on your learners and community.

Associate Principal Participant , Cohort 2 SLA PLD

"Our school has just completed the Massey SLA PLD. We found the 3 days extremely informative. For some teachers, it was an ‘aha’ moment, as they were still a little unsure how to implement SL in their classrooms. The fact that the PLD is not focused around a specific programme, but is skill based and able to be used with any resources, makes this even more worthwhile."
