Jamie Worthington

Jamie has over a decade of teaching and leadership experience across mainstream, bilingual, primary, intermediate, and secondary classrooms in Aotearoa. She has facilitated professional learning with teachers and leaders in a range of settings, with a particular focus on literacy and evidence-based practice. Jamie has held roles including team leader, literacy leader, and Kāhui Ako Within-School Leader, and she has supported teachers to embed structured approaches to literacy. She is committed to continual professional growth and is currently completing a Masters of Education in Literacy at Massey University. Jamie’s professional interest lies in ensuring equitable literacy outcomes for all learners, and she is passionate about empowering teachers with practical tools that make a difference in the classroom. She joined the Tātai Angitu Literacy@Massey Team in 2024.
