Dr Lesieli Tongati'o

I have a passion for education with a wealth of experiences and strong strategic view of education with a wide network of contacts across Aotearoa and the Pacific region. With cultural sensitivity and valuing diversity, I can lead, create and sustain a guiding coalition of skilled expertise to empower and focus on results. I can work with PLD participants to build knowledge, apply research and evidence across early learning, schooling, tertiary education and beyond. I bring authentic Pasifika knowledge, skills and experiences connecting different contexts and curriculum areas across Te Whāriki (ECE Curriculum) and its links to the New Zealand Curriculum Framework. I have a deep understanding of Tapasā and the Cultural Competencies Framework for Teachers of Pacific Learners. I make strong links across all other education strategies and am confident in weaving different strands together for success.
