Claire Knight
Claire is a literacy facilitator and registered RTLB with over 20 years of teaching experience in Years 2–8 in Aotearoa New Zealand and overseas. She holds multiple postgraduate qualifications in special and inclusive education, including a Master of Specialist Teaching, and is an Associate-Level certified practitioner with the Orton-Gillingham Academy (A/OGA). Claire is completing a PhD at Massey University, focusing on strengthening teachers' knowledge and self-efficacy to support students with language comprehension needs. She has extensive expertise in structured literacy, vocabulary and morphology instruction, as well as professional learning design. Claire’s work integrates research and practice to equip educators with the skills to notice, recognise, and respond effectively to diverse learner needs.
