Hilary Elliot

Hilary has been teaching since 2013. Her classroom teaching experience spans Years 3–8, as well as specialist subjects, including Years 7–8 filmmaking and stop-motion animation, GATE media and journalism, and Years 9–10 mathematics. Hilary is driven by a deep commitment to literacy learning and values creativity as an essential part of engaging and inspiring ākonga. She has spent the past six years in the role of in-school Curriculum Coach and Literacy Lead, supporting Years 0–8 classroom teachers through in-class coaching, modelling, and collaborative planning in literacy. In 2024, Hilary was a recipient of a TeachNZ Study Award, and is currently working on her thesis to complete a Master of Education at Massey University. Hilary joined the Tātai Angitu Literacy@Massey team in 2025.
