Jo Francis-Alles

Jo is a literacy facilitator with over 20 years’ teaching experience in Aotearoa New Zealand and overseas. During her eight years as a Resource Teacher: Literacy, she completed a Master of Education Practice (with Distinction) and LeTRS (Language Essentials for Teaching Reading and Spelling). Jo's expertise in evidence-based literacy pedagogy and instructional strategies has accelerated literacy learning and achievement for ākonga. Through coaching and mentoring, she works alongside kaiako to provide strong content knowledge and practical strategies that enhance teaching practice. A reflective facilitator, Jo is committed to continuous professional learning, integrating research and evidence-informed practice to empower kaiako and strengthen outcomes for learners.
