Tamara Dahm

I was a primary school teacher for eight years before moving into the role of Literacy Facilitator. Recently, I have taken on the role of Literacy Content Lead – Development. Alongside this, I am currently completing my PhD in Education, where I am exploring how collaboration between teachers and speech-language therapists can support children with language-related literacy needs. Having completed my Master of Education in Literacy, I am committed to ensuring that research about how we learn to read is applied effectively in classrooms so that all learners can experience equitable outcomes. In my current role, I lead the design, development, and refinement of high-quality literacy content. I work collaboratively with facilitators and subject matter experts to ensure content is practical, evidence-informed, and responsive to the needs of schools. I am passionate about supporting educators to strengthen their knowledge and confidence, empowering them to help every child succeed as a reader and writer. I also work with schools to build capability in delivering a structured approach to literacy, including supporting leadership and staff to design and implement literacy frameworks that best fit their context.
